Year 3 and 4 Trip to Clitheroe Castle
Last Friday, children from Year 3 and 4 visited Clitheroe Castle. We have been learning about the Normans and the Battle of Hastings and the children were excited to visit a real Motte and Bailey castle. During the day the children became Norman, Anglo Saxon and Viking armies and they re-enacted the gruesome events leading up to the Battle of Hastings.
The children also make 'egg cellent' knights in armour using eggs and craft materials. They had fun testing how strong their armour was.
Some even make it through unscathed!
This funfilled day was topped with a picnic, ice cream and a a visit to the park.
