Year 5 have been studying the Anglo -Saxon period in history and today enjoyed an Anglo-Saxon Day run by History Alive.  All the children dressed in costume, took part in  role play and handled artifacts.  It was very interesting and entertaining and the  children learnt a lot.

"We enjoyed learning about the dyes used by the Anglo - Saxons to colour their clothes.   Madder was used for red!"
