We began our celebrations for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee yesterday, when Mr Terry Hephrun, Deputy Lieutenant of Lancashire, visited school to talk to the children about this very special anniversary for Queen Elizabeth.

Our School has received and planted an oak tree as part of the Queen's Green Canopy Programme and Terry helped us to finish the planting.

The children learned lots of new facts about our Queen and had the opportunity to ask questions.  We are very grateful to Terry for taking the time to visit our school.

We also remembered when we planted a tree at school 10 years ago to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.

We shall continue our Jubilee celebrations with a Garden Party in June.
