KS2 Basketball Cluster Competition

Basketball Team at Spirit of Sport

On Tuesday 16th January, some of our KS2 children went to the Spirit of Sport to compete in a Basketball competition against various schools from Burnley.  The boys and girls did really well winning all of their games.

The girls played their first game against Christ the King.  They played extremely well winning 1-0 with Olivia scoring a dazzling goal.  The other team showed great sportsmanship and were gracious in defeat.  The boys played their match and thoroughly dominated possession winning 4-0 with Naail scoring 2 amazing goals, 1 from the half line, and Jonah also scoring 2 cracking goals.  Everyone’s confidence levels were soaring and they brought that into the next game with both teams convincingly winning 4-0 and 5-0 against St Augustine’s.  We carried on our winning streak and won every game and enjoyed every bit of it.  All of the team was very proud of themselves and are looking forward to any more tournaments.  We have been doing the Daily Mile for the past 2 weeks and has gained us a huge advantage in all sports.  Thankyou to all the parents for their support and help with transport.
