Martin Mere

In year 1 we had a fantastic trip to Martin Mere, home to over 100 species of rare and endangered ducks, geese, swans and flamingos.

Fist we enjoyed a wetland walk in the sunshine looking at all the different species and their ducklings.  Our favourites were Boris the goose and an East African crowned crane.

Next we all went pond dipping.  We had a net each and we caught shrimps, snails, leeches, water flees and water louse.

After lunch we went exploring and fed the ducks.

We just had time to go in the adventure playground before home time.
