FOOTBALL CLUB

The club commenced on Monday 17th September and has some 16 girls and boys.  All the basic skills are being developed and the club will continue untill half-term.

The first match fixture of the season will take place on Thursday 27th September 2007 against Heathland School, Accrington. SCORE - St Joseph's 3 - Heathland School 0 - well done boys.

Inter-House  Football Competition

The end of term inter-house football competition ended with a victory for St George.  St George met St Andrew and the scores were equal at full time 3 all.  A 'Sudden Death' penalty shoot out resulted in a 4 - 3 win for St George.  In 3rd and 4th play offs St Patrick narrowly defeated St David.  Sadly all games had to be played on the yard due to a waterlogged pitch.

GOOD LUCK PAUL SCHOLES

The school sent o good luck card and message to Paul Scholes on his return to the Manchester United first team following a lengthy injury.  Paul was a spectator (watching his son) when St Joseph's played Firnwood Manor school, Chadderton, earlier in the season.
