Children in Year 5 spent 3 fantastic days at the Cranedale Centre in North Yorkshire at the beginning of June. They spent the first afternoon orienteering in the centre and the village. They then had a full day at the Bempton Cliffs and Flamborough Head watching seabirds, field sketching, learning about erosion of the cliffs and collecting a variety of creatures from rockpools. The final morning was spent in a woodland setting where the children played a survival game, finding out about food chains.
The weather was beautiful so no waterproofs or woolly hats were needed and all the children enjoyed their visit.
