Conclusion to our Outstanding Inspection Report

Overall Conclusions

The school is very successful in meeting its aims.  It is governed and managed very well, and has excellent and enlightening leadership that is backed by a committed, hard-working and caring staff.  All the staff work outstandingly well together as a team and provide pastoral care and support of outstanding quality.  Teaching is good with outstanding features, the support for those's with learning difficulties is outstanding, and pupils are continually encouraged to make the best of their talents and opportunities.

Particularly good teaching was seen in geography, ICT, RE, circle time, reflections, the Reception class, and the Nursery.  The provision for and the teaching in sport are excellent.  The school community is underpinned by strong Christian values in which pupils' spiritual and moral awareness is exceptionally well developed.  From the moment they join the Nursery, where children are given the best possible start to their school life, high academic standards are expected and attained throughout.

In all years pupils' behaviour, their respect for others, and their interest and care for each other and the wider world are of high order.  Parents are highly satisfied with the education provided and pupils are proud of their school.  The only minor weakness is in the presentation of pupils' work where they make use of folders.
