This half term (Summer 2  June- July)your child will be covering the following topics:

(after tests and trip to Cranedale)

ENGLISH: We will complete our work on persuasive writing and will also be reading and writing performance poetry.  We will continue to develop handwriting, spelling, punctuation and grammar skills during the term, and will, of course, be spending time rehearsing for our production.  

MATHS :We will continue to practise the use of addition, subtractions, multiplication and division to solve problems.  We will also cover the following topics: Handling Data, Co-Ordinates, Shape and Space and measures.

 

SCIENCE : Our topic for this half-term is Changing Sounds.  We will also be revising all the topics covered this year for assessments.

R.E.: We are studying Sikhism during World Relision Week.  Our RE topic is Building Bridges.

GEORGRAPHY: The children carry out various geographical activities whilst on their school visit to Cranedale, including map work and orienteering.

ART:We will continue to focus on Performance Art, which links with the Summer Production of The Wind in the Willows.

GYMNASTICS AND GAMES :The children will progress further with Rounders, Cricket and Athletics.
