~ We designed a coat that we could make to fit our model Joseph.
~ Then we practiced sewing on Binka, some of us found it tricky!
~ We painted our design on card and though of ways to join it.
~ We then used fabric pens to copy the design onto fabric.
~ We sewed the pieces together, some of us needed a bit of help.
~ We then evaluated our coats to decide which bits were easy and which were difficult.

Year 2 have been measuring in Maths this week. We learned how to measure using a metre stick, tape measures and trundle wheel.
We estimated first and then measured. Then we filled in a table and compared the results.
We are going to make a graph of our heights.
Year 2 are studying Plants and Animals in the Local Environment. We are so lucky to have our field to help us with this topic.
We looked for mini beasts behind tress, under logs, in the twigs, among the flowers.
Our compost heap had lots of worms for us to collect. We took our mini beasts back to class to study them.
We worked so hard we needed a rest in the Willow Tunnel.
We made a tally chart and graphs to show what we had found. We drew pictures and labelled them. We used the computer to draw minibeasts.
