Year 1 have been looking at length.
How do we measure a shape that is not straight?
We measured a length of string to 1 metre - then we could work out if the shape was longer or shorter than 1 metre.
In year 1 during our topic 'sound and hearing' we have been looking at the different ways to make sounds using musical instruments and using our bodies.
We have also conducted experiments to discover that when sounds travel away from their source they become fainter.
In our topic work we have been looking at toys from the past. We have created moving teddies using split pins and we have created still life drawings of teddies using charcoal.
