Sports and Singing

Hello and welcome to our third blog. Doesn’t time fly! What a busy fortnight it has been. There were lots of sports🏅 and singing.

🎤On Tuesday 12th of March some children and teachers went to King George's Hall to take part in the Let’s Go Sing concert. We started by doing some vocal warm ups and then got ready in our dressing room. We went through to the main stage to run through all of the songs with the other schools. When the big moment came we were all buzzing with excitement. Everybody sang beautifully. Thank you to Mrs Jenkinson and Mrs Goffee for taking us.

Recently, Years 3 and 4 did their Poetry Vanguard.📜 For this they had to recite two poems by heart and explain why they chose them.  They also had to talk about their poets. Every single one of them passed. Well done to all of them.

We now have a playground shelter in the backyard. Mrs Hannah’s son came and used his joinery skills to make a shelter. Children can shelter in all weathers and it can be used as an outdoor classroom in the summer.☀️

Girls from years 5 and 6 went to a semi-final against Briercliffe Primary at the Spirit of Sport.  We were very happy to get this far. We played on the 3G pitch ⚽and it was brilliant. Congratulations to Briercliffe Primary on their win.

As a nation, we in the UK drink 165 million cups of tea every day and about 70 million cups of coffee. 🤯
