Forest School

Hello, welcome back to my blog, I’m here to fill you in on the gaps during school life.

The House Leader results came in and it turns out that Zak (St. George), Noah (St. Patrick), Haady (St. Andrew) and Harvey (St. David) are the house captains! Well done guys! We look forward to seeing you rally your troops for the weekly house point race.

Research suggests nature boosts human well-being and lucky for us at Park Hill we are always encouraged to enjoy the outdoors. In Forest School, we started construction on a natural sculpture or den for our loveable seeds. We gathered resources and found planks as well as chunks of wood, salvaging what we could. We played some wild hide and seek using trees and shrubbery to shield us. You can see pictures on the school's Facebook page.

People around the world bid farewell to the Queen in what was a beautiful send-off. During the readings, Baroness Scotland quoted the Bible when she said ‘The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death’ (1 Corinthians 15:26). Interestingly this is also used in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows on Lily and James Potter’s gravestone.

I want to recommend a great way to paint or draw digitally. The app is called Tayasui Sketches, and it is awesome! So check it out.

Fact: The smarter the person is, the faster they think, and the sloppier the handwriting is!

See you next fortnight!
