Our Infant department which includes Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 is led by Mrs. Shea, who teaches Year 1. Mrs Pearson, a highly experienced teacher and long serving member of staff teaches in the Reception class and Miss Hammond, a past pupil who has also taught at the school for many years, teaches Year 2.  Mrs Pearson and Miss Hammond  are always delighted when children of former pupils are in their class.

There are four Teaching Assistants in the Infant department, who work alongside staff, supporting pupils, leading creative activities and contributing to a dynamic, thriving department.

Small class sizes (average 15) ensure that staff know the children very well. Children are confident and happy  and form good relationships with the staff and with each other.
